"I attended the 2011 supervision conference and was not sure what to expect. It was run extremely well and the accommodations were great. The two and a half days were full but each presenter's material flowed seamlessly. I will begin supervision soon and feel that I will be more prepared to do so based on this conference. The presenters were knowledgeable and provided attendees with a wealth of information. We had access to power points as well as web site information. I emailed one of the presenters for more detailed information and she responded back promptly. Meeting colleagues from all over the state was another benefit. It enabled me to hear input from experienced supervisors as well."

Earn your NASW-NC Clinical Supervision Certificate. Gain 20 Continuing Education Contact Hours (4 of which are Ethics Hours), and network with other Clinical Supervisors. Topics include  supervisory styles and techniques, skills to supervise clinical social workers at various stages of clinical development, managing challenging supervisees and situations, evaluating clinician competency, cultural competency, ethics, legal and regulatory issues, and much more!

Upon the completion of the workshop, attendees may choose to sit for an examination of the materials presented. Successful exam takers are awarded a Certificate in Clinical Supervision. This certificate indicates mastery of the materials covered, and is not a requirement to perform clinical supervision in North Carolina.  This conference is intended for established master's level and above Social Work clinicians. The clinician must be fully licensed or certified, be in good standing with the licensure and certification board in their respective states, and currently providing clinical supervision or plan to be supervising in the near future.

The license number you provide on the registration form will be verified with your licensing board.  As it has been stated, in order to receive a certificate, your license must be in good standing with your state's licensure board.  Once this has been determined you will receive confirmation.  If there is a question about the status of your license, our office will give you a call to let you know, and you will receive a full refund of the exam fee only.  All attendees are eligible for a certificate of attendance showing 20 hours of instruction (4 are ethics hours).

  • Be a masters level, fully licensed clinician
  • Be in good standing with the licensure and certification board in your state
