Event: Keep Us Safe! Ethics Surrounding Social Worker Workplace Protection

Cost: $15 for members, $40 nonmembers, includes lunch

Location: CHANGE!!! Main Library, 300 Maiden Lane, Fayetteville, NC

Time: 10am - 1:30pm; 30 minutes for lunch

CE Credit: 3 hours of Ethics CE

Identify factors within the workplace that promote stress and anxiety as well as identify professional obligation to practice self-care.

Review the NASW Code of Ethics with relationship to its foundation of self-care and wellness and discuss the impact of stress within practice.

Examine NASW advocacy efforts (past and current) promoting legislature that supports practitioner safety.

Explore how organizations can better identify work related danger common to practice and endorse better staff through programming features that highlight workplace safety.
