Topic: Ethical Dilemmas working with LGBTQ Population Part 2

LGBT specialists invite you to an interesting provocative discussion on how the current HB2 battles in the state and other "bathroom bills" in the media are impacting our clients, our work with clients and us as clinicians. Have you been seeing the impact of this on the clients you serve? How have you been navigating this? Have you struggled to figure out how to be both [politically] neutral and [emotionally] supportive to your clients and are these the same thing? We welcome you to come and participate in what we hope will be an interesting discussion.

Speaker: Michelle Topal, MSW, LCSW, is owner of Change for Living Counseling PLLC and Raleigh Counseling Collaborative and been an out member of the LGBT andspecialized in the needs of LGBT community for over 25 years, including creating and running the LGBT centers LGBT youth group for six years. Having studied human sexuality, orientation, identity (incl. bisexuality), coming out, gender and cultural issues facing the community, she makes it a priority to hire and serve the LGBT community.
