The NASW Foundation is a 501C-3 nonprofit as established by the IRS. This tax status means that donations towards any of our programs are considered charitable contributions and are thus tax deductible. The North Carolina Chapter Fund, which is within the Foundation, was specifically established to "house” donations dedicated for and restricted for the use of the North Carolina Chapter and to benefit social workers who are members of the Chapter. Our Chapter programs provide student awards, conference scholarships and vital support for those in the social work profession.
There are four programs within the North Carolina Chapter Fund and thus four different ways to support social workers and the social work profession.
