Moral March on Raleigh

Saturday, February 10, 2018

The HKonJ (Historic Thousands on Jones Street) Moral March on Raleigh is part of a love and justice movement organized by the North Carolina NAACP. This march represents a fight for an intersectional agenda to support public education, economic sustainability, workers' rights and livable wages, health care for all, medicaid expansion, environmental justice, equal protection under the law without regard to race, immigration status, gender, gender identity or sexual orientation, voting rights for all, and criminal justice. All social justice issues that social workers support! Learn more about HKonJ here.

NASW-NC members and social workers are welcome to meet at 8:00am at the NASW-NC office at
412 Morson Street, Raleigh on February 10. We have plenty of street parking and will have "Social Workers for Social Justice" signs available but feel free to bring your own signage. We will then walk to the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium, 2 East South St., Raleigh (20 minute walk) to gather and rally at 8:30 a.m. The march to the NC General Assembly begins at 10 a.m.

All are welcome. If you would like to join us at the NASW-NC office, please fill out the google form so we know how many signs to print.
