Access to NASW-NC Templates and Important information for Local Program Unit Leaders in North Carolina.
Each year, NASW-NC is audited to assure that we are accountable for our finances. We need our LPU chairs to help us maintain quality accountability and to comply with the guidelines set forth in the LPU Manual.
Some of the most important information to remember is:
- NASW-NC Executive Director, Kathy Boyd, is the only person who can sign contracts on behalf of the association. If a LPU chair signs a contract, they are personally guaranteeing the contract, not the association. We are happy to review, approve and assign contracts as needed.
- All money collected at LPU meetings must be mailed to the Chapter office, and recorded on a paper document. This document, usually the registration form, must show how much each person paid and in what form that payment was received.
- NO money collected at an event may be 'used' at the event to pay for expenses. Please use the purchase requisition to request a check for the amount you will need in advance, and we will gladly send it to you.
