Local Program Units

NASW-NC has several Local Program Units (LPUs) throughout the state. Each LPU has a volunteer chairperson and a small group of additional volunteers who plan meetings and develop programming ideas.

Local Program Units provide social workers with opportunities to network, meet fellow practitioners, connect, and gain continuing education and professional development training.

For information about meeting times and events, or to volunteer your time, please contact the respective LPU Chairperson(s).

For information about developing a new NASW-NC LPU in your area, feel free to review our LPU Manual. Also feel free to contact Melissa Reaser, Director of Membership Services, at the NASW-NC Chapter office at 800-280-6207/919-828-9650 or naswncmembership@naswnc.org.

There are currently 11 LPUs throughout the state.

Most LPUs meet monthly or every other month.
