Home Ed and Self Study

NASW-NC has several convenient ways to help you complete your required continuing education hours.  The following home-study options are PRE-APPROVED with the NC Social Work Certification & Licensure Board!

ONLINE:

Yourceu’s — Offers online courses for core clinical and ethics topics. These courses are developed with the social worker in mind. The primary focus is to further develop the social worker’s professional skills. Go to www.yourceus.com for more information.

National NASW — The online courses offered through NASW National’s website are pre-approved for North Carolina social workers. Here is a direct online link: www.naswwebed.org.

Financial Social Work — This certificate program offers 20 hours of continuing education. It is offered through the Center for Financial Social Work, and is designed to teach social workers how to assist their clients through financial education and support. NASW-CA Online CE Program — NASW-CA provides online courses in a wide range of topic areas.  Go to www.socialworkweb.com/nasw/ for more information. 

OTHER MEDIA:

NASW-WI Audio Tape Program — In conjunction with NASW-WI we offer a large list of audio tapes that may be purchased. Each tape comes with a workbook and test. The NC Social Work Certification & Licensure Board (NCSWCLB) requires that you complete 40 hours of continuing education for license renewal. Twenty (20) of those hours may be done through home-study or self-study. All of the courses offered through NASW-NC have been pre-approved by the Licensure Board for your convenience.

NASW-NC is a Deemed Status organization with NCSAPPB. All courses taken through NASW-NC are pre-approved for initial and renewal of your substance
abuse credential.
