NASW is your professional connection, providing you with up-to-date information about legislation and regulations that may affect your social work practice. With our toll-free 800 telephone number, we serve as your social work information center offering you support, referrals, and information. We represent you and the profession in the media, on over 20 statewide task forces and coalitions, and in the North Carolina General Assembly.

To Join
- Submit a Membership Application to NASW National. Click here for a PDF copy of the NASW Membership Application, or click here to join online. You may also call NASW National at 1-800-638-8799 to join.
- In North Carolina, call 1-800-280-6207 if you would like a membership application mailed to you, or email naswncmembership@naswnc.org.
- Once a NASW member, you automatically become a member of the state chapter that which you reside in. So you'd be both a National and NC Chapter NASW member at no additional cost, providing you with both National and Chapter level membership benefits.
