Title: Opioids   

This presentation will give an overview of opioids and their effects on the body, health, economy, and national security. This presentation has been made by and is in accordance with the Surgeon General's priorities and is the outcome of national research on the opioid epidemic in America.  

Learning Objectives / Expected Outcomes

      -     Participants will learn current research, advocacy and treatment approaches for Social Work

-          Participants will be able to identify how the nervous system works

-          Participants will be able to identify how opioids affect the nervous system 

-          Participants will be able to identify how the body controls breathing

-          Participants will be able to identify how opioids can lead to death

Participants may park for free across the street at the State Employees Credit Union after 5:45pm
