The Forsyth County Local Program Unit of the North Carolina Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers is proud to present the following continuing education event:


Topic: Neuroscience and the Impact of Trauma on Development


Presenter: Angela Squire, LCSW, LCASA, MSW, QP


Description: During the event the speaker will be facilitating an interactive discussion about various forms of trauma and the impact on the developing brain.  Through this discussion we will be exploring how stress and trauma negatively affect neurodevelopment and resulting behavior, as well as evidence-based treatment models for children and adults.  We will also be identifying risk and protective factors to promote healing in the brain and body, including practical applications and interventions for micro and macro level practice.
