Protect yourself and those you serve in the community

Practitioners in many health and helping professions deliver their services outside of the office setting. While natural settings such as individuals' homes and communities offer great therapeutic advantages, they may also give rise to complex or unanticipated ethical challenges.

In this workshop, participants will learn a user-friendly model for ethical decision-making and apply it to dilemmas arising in a variety of non-office environments.

This presenter is supported through the partnership between the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Social Work and the NC AHEC Program.

Target Audience

Mental health clinicians (psychiatrists, social workers, psychologists), early intervention specialists, healthcare providers, public health workers, nurses, health educators, case managers, and others practicing in natural settings

  • Demonstrate the ABCDE Model of Ethical Decision Making
