Description:

This presentation explores the concept of Eco-social work from the theoretical framework of Deep Ecology and Indigenous Knowledge. Participants will: 

  • Gain knowledge about the history and importance of social works role in advancing environmental justice
  • Explore perspectives and ethical considerations of environmental justice
  • Understand the role culture plays when addressing environmental issues
  • Learn practical skills to assess and address the natural environmental needs of clients.
