Frequently Asked Conference Questions

LCSW Exam Preparation

The National Association of Social Workers offers Licensed Clinical Social Worker Exam Preparatory Courses twice a year (Spring and Fall). Each session is worth 5 hours of CE credit.

This training is designed for anyone seeking to prepare themselves for the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) social work license exam administered by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) in North Carolina.

We will explore alternative learning styles that incorporate experiential components as well as a combination of partner, small group, and large group work. Instead of simply reading and reviewing material, we will collectively participate in engaging activities so the content 'sticks' in your mind.

The session will cover practice theory, social work terminology, therapeutic strategies, treatment, practice techniques, ethics, social work values, DSM, psychopharmacology, and diversity sensitive practice.

We will review helpful practice test questions including actual questions designed by ASWB.
