2017 Legislative Agenda Approved

The NASW-NC Legislative Committee worked thoroughly to provide a draft agenda to the NASW-NC Board of Directors for approval. We are thrilled to announce that the NASW-NC Board of Directors has approved the agenda!

Items on the agenda will be priorities for NASW-NC's mission to advance the social work profession during the 2017 legislative session. The agenda does leave room to work on issues that arise throughout the legislative session.

Lastly, the legislative agenda does not account for the advocacy work NASW-NC does on behalf of the profession behind the scenes with the Department of Public Safety, Department of Health and Human Services, BlueCross BlueShield of NC, Department of Insurance, and more! We will continue these efforts throughout the year.
