The National Association of Social Workers North Carolina Chapter submitted public comments to the North Carolina Division of Aging and Adult Services regarding their 2019-2023 Aging Services Plan. Public comments are being gathered through Friday, June 29th. You may email comments to agingplan@dhhs.nc.gov.
The Aging Services Plan will likely guide policy work for the Division of Aging and Adult Services, the Department of Health and Human Services, and other agencies of state government.
The Division of Aging hosted listening session across the state which were co-hosted by the North Carolina Association of Area Agencies on Aging and helped identify the needs of the state’s older citizens, disabled adults, and their caregivers. Information gathered at the listening sessions and information submitted through public comments will be used to help develop the 2019-2023 Aging Services Plan.
