Thank you for applying for the NASW-NC Presidents' Award! Applications are due by December 15.
Eligible students are limited to one NASW-NC award per year.
***Applications MUST consist of these FIVE items:
- Completion of below form.
- A typed statement of 3 pages or less, double spaced, with 1” margins and a minimum of 12-point type, that includes the following:
- A description of your accomplishments during your graduate studies. Include activities related to academic achievement such as scholarships, research, and service to the MSW program, the University, and the community.
- Information about any leadership positions held in student organizations, in professional and community organizations, as well as presentations made at the local, state, national and international levels.
- One substantial letter of recommendation that documents your performance from one of the following individuals:
- Social Work faculty member who has taught you during your graduate studies
- Social Work field instructor
- Social Work field supervisor
- Professional Social Worker (unaffiliated with the MSW graduate program)
- Dean or Associate Dean with whom you have worked with closely during your graduate studies
- Copy of MSW graduate program transcript.
- Current resume.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IMPORTANT INFO:
- Documents must be uploaded as PDFs.
- You can upload your application as one PDF (all of your documents in one PDF file) or as individual PDFs (each attachment as a separate PDF file). Please make sure your name is in the title of each PDF document that you upload.
- Applicant must be graduating from a CSWE-accredited (or in candidacy status) MSW Program in North Carolina within the current academic year.
- Only one copy of your transcript is required. Unofficial is acceptable.
- Please make sure that you include all requested information - incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Applicants CANNOT be Student Representatives on the NASW-NC Board of Directors.
